The horses really wanted to be in the photos - which made for this hilarious first image. Once the horses were content, the photos went off without a hitch. Click on the images below to see them larger.

Happy Birthday Donna!

I met Donna about 2 years ago at the Survivor's dinner for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Smithfield. She is a 25 year survivor of a very invasive fast growing cancer - a sure miracle. She gives me inspiration as I reach the 2 and a half year mark (which sounds almost silly by comparison but you've got to start somewhere.) Come to find out, her husband, Lowell, was my father in law's well respected young men's leader when he was a teenager. Well, Donna just celebrated her 80th birthday and she wanted a new family photo. Due to the rain, we photographed the large family group inside her daughter's amazing home and then were able to spend a few minutes outside with Lowell, Donna, and their children. The whole group was an absolute delight and I truly enjoyed seeing Donna again. Donna ordered a 40x24 canvas of the family and I can hardly wait to see the canvas when it arrives. Every canvas I have received from our lab takes my breath away and I am absolutely sure this one will too! Canvas is one of my all time favorite products.

San Diego Temple in June - It's never too late

I'll share a short story with you:

After 62 years of marriage, Walter and Skeets attended the temple for the first time and were sealed...

Their oldest daughter, Sherron, had married a medivac helicopter pilot, Dennis, who joined the LDS church and they were sealed just before their first child was born. That child was Walter and Skeets first grandchild.

Their youngest daughter, Edie, married a professional photographer, Tony Corbell. Tony later joined the LDS church and they were sealed shortly after the birth of their daughter.

So on this special day in June, Walter and Skeets were sealed for time and all eternity to each other and to their children, Sher and Edie.

Walter's brother, Albert and his wife Edna, were also in attendance.

And now, you might wonder why I shared this story, and how in the world I photographed Tony Corbell. I am Walter and Skeets first grandchild.
