Logan High School - Logan, Utah - Class of 1969 - 40th Year Reunion

Come to find out, they didn't have a photographer after all. My father-in-law helped plan a lot of the reunion and so he volunteered my husband when he found out. Luckily the wide angle lens worked okay for the spot they chose. It was so last minute, we really didn't have anytime to plan anything. My father-in-law was pleased to announce yesterday at our family dinner that he has the most grandchildren out of all those who attended the reunion - 14 with #15 on the way (not mine- don't worry - pregnancy and I don't get along). He also shared with us many of the incredible facts from 1969 - that was the last year the U.S.A. had a balanced budget until 2001. Maybe you know a few of these Grizzlies. Take a peek!

Canterbury Place - Bountiful, Utah - Wedding Photography

So here's a plug for facebook. I've been able to get back in touch with friends I've known all over the world (I was an Army Brat). And recently I've been able to renew friendships with many of the kids I went to early morning seminary with in Alaska. So in talking with one of my old friends, I found out that several members of his family live in Utah now. His wife is a florist in Bountiful - a very good florist! I told him if she ever needed photos of her work to call me and I'd be happy to help her out. So on Friday I met Stacie. She's super talented and just about the nicest person you'd ever want to work with. This was one of the bigger weddings for her this year. I didn't count the tables but both banquet rooms were packed. The ceremony had to be held outside in the Canterbury Place garden which is quite elegant. Not wanting to disturb the photographer who was there to photograph the bride and groom, I worked with a high ISO - so there is some grain - but most importantly there is a nice direction of light on the flowers and her work is stunning. So here are a few examples of the photos I took:

You spend so much time on the details, it's time we focused on them for you...

I know you must be so tired of staring at Z and S. Could they be anymore picture perfect? Seriously beautiful people! I'll have more to post soon. They are getting married tomorrow!

Here is a recap of some of the details from Matt and Shanae's wedding - 150 guests, they picked up their appetizers on the way in and said hello to the Bride and groom before finding a seat. I believe receiving lines should be functional - not the main event. There was salad, chatter, dinner, 3 short speeches, cake cutting and served with chocolate dipped strawberries, bouquet toss, and a short video about the couple and how their lives came together. The candle light was peaceful and the flowers were refreshing. Overall a beautiful atmosphere and low stress way to begin their lives together. You may be wondering why I said low stress- they chose the best, most reliable vendors they could find and then let them take care of everything while the families and guests relaxed and enjoyed their service. And I can truly say that the Riter Mansion, Hamilton's catering, and Every Blooming Thing were everything a bride could want for a perfect day. Anyway, enjoy all the little very well planned details:

Clyde - Cache Valley Wedding Photography

We absolutely love this couple and when they told us they were getting married we couldn't have been happier for them. S* and I immediately started talking about bridals, nails, hair, etc. As you can see, she is absolutely stunning. And it was so fun to get a few with T*, L*, and B*. We will be photographing their wedding near the Wind Rivers in Wyoming which Z* says is like Jackson Hole without the tourists. And since Tyler and I love the outdoors and this amazing couple we are super excited to be there for their big day! Click on the photos to see them larger.
