Sneak Peek -Newborn Baby - Cache Valley Utah - Vanderbeek Images
Isn't he adorable? He is not even 2 weeks old in this photo. And the winter hat is perfect! I think I need to go hat shopping. He just wanted to be snuggled in a blanket and as soon as he was, he went sound asleep. We also photographed his older brothers and his cousins the same day, but his mom wanted to see the photo with the art effects.

Bridal/Wedding Show - Canturbury Place - Bountiful, Utah - Photography by Vanderbeek Images
I really love how they decorated for the bridal show. I mean, it's the dead of winter and it was like a breath of fresh air with the pink, yellow, and all the flowers everywhere. I love the extra swags on the ceiling and I've always loved twinkle lights. The cake as decorated to perfection. The dessert buffet was gorgeous and the center of the room - unique and beautiful. The head table was my favorite. And the candy buffet was amazing!

Canterbury Place - The Vintage Chic Bridal Show - Vanderbeek Images Photography Booth - Bountiful, Utah
Here is our booth at the bridal show today. The vendors were in the Grand Ballroom which you had to wind through to get into the other room with the themed displays.
My husband really worked hard to get everything in and set up. And the brides loved seeing us work as a team in our booth- something we also do when we photograph a wedding. We really enjoyed our time there and the brides really loved our unique products. Time after time we received many compliments on our photography style and products. It was truly an enjoyable day.
And the Canterbury Place florist, Stacie Hardy, made 2 beautiful arrangements for my booth and she even sent them home with me!
I love the theme that they went with. It was very vintage and feminine. I love these cards - so cute!
And the centerpieces were exquisite! Every table had something different but they all coordinated and went with the theme.

The Sky is the limit
There is something about getting a really great photo of a bride and groom and making sure that the light on their faces is perfect. But sometimes the sky becomes blown out. So if you wonder why I am turning to photograph clouds on your wedding day, it's because I may want to add those clouds back into the photo. I know that many of you want your photos to be a beautiful reflection of the day. So we combine the best of both worlds - gorgeous light on the bride and groom and perfect skies.
In addition to adding the clouds back into this photo of the bride and groom walking around the grounds of the Salt Lake Temple in Utah, I made this into a fine art print. Please click on it to see the details a little better.
And this print was so fun to work on. I love the smile of the bride and the groom staring at her in this dramatic light. Of course temple grounds can sometimes be busy and so I had to edit out a few people in the background making this shot much more dramatic and personal. And we were so grateful to see the sun finally begin to peek through the clouds as they exited the Rexburg, Idaho temple. I also added some fine art touches to this image.

Twin Girls - Professional Family Photography - Providence, Utah
We photographed these adorable twins a while ago along with their family. We also photographed their baby brother. I'm sad they've since moved. Their Mom is super organized and wanted to have copies on disc for safe keeping. So while she has the prints displayed in her home, the discs will be kept somewhere else in case of fire, hurricane, flood, etc. Luckily they survived a hurricane last year and lack of electricity for a lengthy amount of time in extreme humidity. Anyway, while preparing the discs I came across these images and wanted to share them with you. Even though they are identical twins their personality is anything but identical and it's fun to watch them interact.

"I'm excited to see the proofs--it makes such a difference to have the pictures done professionally. I am so glad we had you guys take them. It's just not the same if you don't pay a professional!" ~ The D* Family Mom ~
Because of this we are working on coming up with a way that you can have your cake and eat it too. Meaning, you can have your disc and professionally printed and retouched images all at the same time for a great price. I love family history. I've been heavily involved in it since I was 9, working right along side my Dad. And I believe our own personal family history is just as important to preserve.
We've already decided what to do for weddings, so I'll share that soon!

Maternity Photography - Logan, Utah
This is a sneak peek from a recent maternity session. We photographed A* and her husband and little boy in black, then white, and then tried something fun. She looks incredible for someone whose baby will be here any day.
A*, I can hardly wait to come to your home and photograph your little boy! Take care and have a safe delivery.
