A little nature photography - Bald Eagle

We went up a canyon earlier this week to get in some target practice.  Luckily we always bring along our cameras.  As we were driving back home I spotted this and as soon as my husband could get out of the Jeep he photographed this gorgeous bald eagle taking off.  I can honestly say that I've never before seen a photo of an eagle with his wings up like this. It's just as much fun reviewing photos as it is taking them.

We went up a few days later and I spotted him again but he was quite far away.  

So we did a little nature photography a little further up the canyon when we stopped to turn around.  

Sometimes it's just nice to photograph things you don't have to chase, entertain, or get feedback from.  And it was so nice to breath fresh clean air!
